RVSQ brings the world a little closer through a joyful interplay of vocal chamber music, improvisation, and unique instrumentation that can only be classified as genre-bursting music. RVSQ embraces diverse influences from classical, jazz, rock, as well as traditional roots music from West Africa, Brazil, and rural America.
With past performances on the Tonight Show, with Feist at Coachella, and as cultural ambassadors with the State Department, RVSQ strides forward on an adventurous path. This project received significant support for commissioning and recording Culture Kin from the Wallace Alexander Gerbode Foundation Special Award in the Arts.
